Marvin E. Carolina, Jr., is founder and CEO of Team Carolina, a full service training, facilitation and consultation company with a concentration on Diversity & Inclusion, Small Business Development and entrepreneurship.

Previously, Marvin served as Vice President, Diversity & Inclusion for JE Dunn Construction Company. Marvin joined JE Dunn in 2002 as the Director of Supplier Diversity. Prior to joining JE Dunn, he served in a business development capacity for 15 years.

In this role, Carolina led a national team responsible for diversity & inclusion and market development. Carolina has developed award winning initiatives supporting diverse business development, supplier diversity and inclusive recruitment. Carolina developed both JE Dunn’s Minority Contractor Business Development (MCBD) program an initiative that develops diverse owned contractors the Professional Development Workshop Series, a collegiate initiative at HBCUs that empowers diverse students in construction related majors with professional development and internship opportunities. The MCBD program has trained more than 300 diverse owned contractors nationwide. Graduating contractors of the MCBD program have gone on to secure contracts with JE Dunn, totaling over $100 million.

Recognized for his professional achievements, Carolina has been recognized by receiving the Ace Award, Community Champion, Top 40 in Their 40’s Business and Community Leader, Top Contractors for Diversity (Kansas City); Innovation Award (Houston); Hispanic Community Builder Award (Atlanta).

Carolina is also the author of Across the Middle: Entrepreneur Strategies for Success.

Marvin holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Master of Arts in Community Development from North Park University.
